- The Student Clinic is a supervised learning environment where students enrolled in Ascentia Career Institute’s Holistic Spa & Wellness Program provide massage and reflexology services to the public. Students are supervised by qualified instructors to ensure a safe and professional experience.
- Are the students Registered Massage Therapists?
- No, the students providing services in the Student Clinic are Spa Massage Practitioners and are not Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs). Services are intended for general wellness and relaxation only.
- Are the services eligible for insurance reimbursement?
- No, services provided by students in the Student Clinic are not eligible for insurance reimbursement. If you require therapeutic, rehabilitative, or medically focused massage treatment, we recommend booking with a Registered Massage Therapist.
- What should I expect during my appointment?
- During your appointment, you will receive a professional massage or reflexology session in a private treatment room. The student will follow proper protocols and techniques under the supervision of qualified instructors. You can expect a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
- What should I wear to my appointment?
- For a Swedish massage, you will be asked to undress to your comfort level and will be properly draped with sheets or towels during the session. For reflexology, you can keep your clothing on, but it is recommended to wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your feet.
- How do I book an appointment?
- Appointments can be booked online through our booking system. Please visit the booking link provided above to select your preferred service, date, and time. Appointments are limited and may fill quickly, so we recommend booking in advance.
- What payment methods are accepted?
- We accept debit, credit, and e-transfer payments. Cash payments are not accepted. Please ensure you have a valid payment method available at the time of your appointment. To make an e-transfer payment, please send the payment to accounting@ascentiaci.ca with your name and appointment date in the message. You will receive a confirmation email once your payment is received.
- What is the availability of appointments?
- Appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend booking your appointment as early as possible to secure your preferred date and time. Availability may vary based on the student schedule and clinic hours. Clinics are only available based on the program schedule.
